Oklahomans affected by wildfires need to know help is available for their insurance issues.

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak and Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) staff members are on the scene of the wildfire near Mannford today. OID's catastrophe team and industry executives are meeting with affected residents, answering questions and sharing information.
Starting this afternoon, Monday, August 6th, consumers in that area can visit OID Consumer Assistance at the Mannford First Assembly of God Church at 104 Greenwood Ave. Residents in any of the wildfire areas in the state can call (405) 760-4104 to talk directly with a department professional. The OID Consumer Assistance team will also have a presence in Luther this afternoon inside the auditorium at NE 178th and Luther Rd.

Oklahomans who want to call Monday or any other weekday can reach the team toll-free at (800) 522-0071.

IIAO praises Commissioner Doak for his rapid response.
